People seriously side with Light? The genocidal maniac with a god complex?

Oh right... he's 'hot'

[up][up] No, THEM I'm ok with. It's the people who genuinely think he's a decent person who I can't stand [lol]

I honestly consider him the most disgusting character in the history of fiction (he's the one who's pissed ME off the most anyway)

Peeler dips a dog biscuit into his tea before giving it to Bobbie.

Yay or nay?

(FYI, we brits often dip buscuits into our cups of tea)

Funny how it started out with Light and Dark and people's preferences, and then went towards discussing the character Light.

@Mio: Yeah, lots of people wish they could, but how many of them would murder every single person who has ever committed any crime? Seriously, he doesn't even seem to care about the severity of it! They only openly state the criminals he kills in the beginning to be the worst of the worst, but he went on a goddamn killing spree with that thing! you think all those people deserved what they got? How many of them were in there for something small or accidental, like manslaughter or larceny?

And that's just on a general, legal level, if you even believe in capital punishment. I don't believe that any person ever deserves to die, for any reason. Yes, not even him.

I can see someone sympathizing with Light at first. But he's a psychotic who got his hands on power. He gives no respect to human life, and his only intention is go make himself into the lord of humanity. He was only ever trying to justify his boner for murder; he never had any good intentions.

Mm, sorry. moving away from that: I think Peeler probably would dip Bobby's biscuits in tea, yeah. A whole, proper british family.

I gotta watch Death Note...that's the show right?

Yeah, I just pictured him holding the mug with both hooves, and using his mouth to dip the biscuit, before chucking it at Bobbie. Seemed like a cute thing to do.

Yeah... let's get back on topic, folks.

Unfortunately (putting the fact that he's a fan character aside), Peeler is way too British to stand a chance of showing up in the show. XD Unless the focus of the episode is that he's British. It's a lot like gay folks of TV, actually - if their classification isn't the point of the episode, they don't show up.
I'm a college student! I don't have time for this!

[up][up][up]It's an uncommon thing. Also many of things that Britons do with their tea you would never see in the US.

Back in my day, we thought ponies were sissy girl toys and didn't speak about them, except to relate devilish ways in which we snuffed them and made our sisters cry, or we played with G.I. Joe toys with firecrackers and BB guns (live ammunition, as far as toys went).

Now we watch a show for little girls and badmouth live-action G.I. Joe adaptations as Teh Suck.

How times change.

Sea Ponies need to be submerdged in water to speak

That doesn't really make much sense... fish may have gills, but they just filter out the water. they still have functional lungs. Which means they can push the air back out. Speech is air moving through the vocal chords (I think), so if they can speak at all they could speak both in the open air and the water. Their voices might just sound different.

Really though, I'd been considering sea ponies to be mostly mammalian; I'd thought maybe they had both gills and regular breathing, or maybe they magically absorb oxygen through the water. The other ponies probably need some degree of magic to function normally - with the level of resilience pegasi have shown there's no way they'd be light enough to fly naturally.

Gills are the respiratory organ for fish.

But since this is a cartoon, we can let it slide.

Are they? I thought they were just filters.

Well, anyways. The point is, there's no reason why they would be able to speak underwater but not on land. It's pushing air out. If you can talk, you can talk.
