@Pink Now THAT I'd like to see. Maybe an episode where Twilight disagrees with Celestia on how to handle a certain problem, and goes behind her back to fix it.

If I may throw in my vote, though I'm a tad late: I don't like the idea of the PPD Detective being like L. L never appealed to me as a character; it feels too much like his big draw is that he's weird, and that just isn't a strong enough leg to support him. For all his brilliance I just have to wonder why someone didn't just slap his shit and tell him to either get his act together and stop being so goddamn selfish, or fuck off and stop bothering everyone.

"The Return of Harmony" did at least change Discord's pose and give the Mane Six another stained glass window in Canterlot. And "The Cutie Mark Chronicles" still showed permanent changes, even if they were changes that had already happened.

You got me wrong, Chainsaw, I meant from his previous page quote about not being on the same page as everyone else. In that I dislike her WITH A VENGANCE.

@kegi I don't love L because of his personality. I love him because of his COMPETENCE. The way in which he's able to reach such amazing conclusions, and the way he can create gambits on the spur of the moment.

Competence? If competence was my criteria for liking a character Rock Lee, Usopp, and Trunks would be flying into the void of forgotten people.

yeah, but that's precisely what bothers me about him. Him, and character like him, and House, and all them. They're hyper-competant, and they use it to just dick around with people. They're supposed to be 'quirky geniuses' or something, but all I see is selfish dicks. you've got all that brilliance, so stop messing around just because you think you're so great and do something! They always manage to come out on top in the end, simply because they're brilliant, but that always leaves me thinking that if they just sat down and applied themselves from the beginning, there'd never be a problem in the first place.

I do wonder just how famous the mane 6 are.

They've got two windows in Canterlot, commending their victories over Nightmare Moon and Discord...they got rid of that Dragon...Dash is the only one to pull off a Sonic Rainboom...Sweet Apple Acres looks like one of the biggest farms in the country...

I judge different types of characters on different scales of merits. With mentor characters like Celestia, I judge based on likability and competence.

L... L never dicked around with ANYONE!!!! EVERY SINGLE FUCKING THING HE DID was to further the Kira case. Everything he did had a premeditated point to it.

Characters like that have a large amount of Wish Fulfillment attached to them. A lot of people at one time or another wished they could be so good at something that they could just disregard the opinions and feelings of others just because they are that good.

Also I have seen speculation that there will probably be another break after Episode 11. Seems pretty likely since the Saturday after that is Christmas Eve.

CMC episodes are rather fun, yes.

I reeeeeeally hope that Hearthwarmings Eve is going to be a flashback episode. I know it already says the mane six will be in a pageant, and I'm glad that they'll be there, but... maybe just interspersed with flashbacks? Like, I dunno, maybe Twilight ends up asking Celestia and Luna what happened really, and then it goes all flashbacky?

Pinkie will devour anything even remotely resembling chocolate within hoof reach.
