I would make one in Forum Games.
In a way, the focus on background characters kinda makes sense, to me. Not only is it a carry-over from the original cartoon, where they were given so little characterization that you pretty much had to make stuff up for the main cast(or so I'm given to believe), It may be a result of a little oddity in the designs. In most series, much more care is given to designing the main characters, since they appear far more often and need to look more interesting. So, you get the main character with cool pants, funky hair and a personalized shirt, or something, while the background characters just wear plain clothes. Here, though, there's almost no discernible difference between mane cast designs and background designs. They all have interesting hair, they all have interesting cutie marks, and they all have roughly the same body type. So, we regard the background cast as being just as interesting, instead of writing them off as existing to fill space, like we would in another cartoon. And thus, we find one we like, and characterize them.
Background Ponies is one of reasons why I love this show.
They are like the others. Strange, hideous, resisting, fighting. Only these were not like the others. They did not die.
Is there any other character in any other work like Derpy?
Like Derpy?
What do you meant?

Well she (and Lyra) was liked by animator before show aired.
Every time show up i was animator put her and only diffrence after she become Esemble Darkpony is fact that they derp her again.
That scene after Anvil (and other stuff) on Twiligt for example.

Yeah, Twilight's teleporting is a little odd. If it had just happened in "The Ticket Master" I would brush it off as just something she could do only in a moment of pure desperation (I seem to remember her saying she didn't even know how she did it). But then she does it pretty frivolously in "Applebuck Season" so that excuse doesn't fly anymore.
Only extremely short teleports. The one in "The Ticket Master" was longer, undirected, and apparently unexpected.
The chasm that she had to jump to escape the hydra was beyond the range of her usual teleporting.
I have a message from another time...
Derpy is slightly similar to Cirno. But only slightly. Aside from rumors (or facts) about their intellect, though, they also share the ascension to minor stardom after being comparatively insignificant originally.

So...what's the appeal of this show?
PASSWORDISTACO
Because it's a funny, cute as hell show that manages to have better female characters than most mainstream stuff?
I cut up one dozen new men and you will die somewhat, again and again.
Also, has a peaceful fandom.
Behold! Grammer Nazis, behold the sigh of Engrish mine!
Poor Spike. Enjoy your death.

So, on
Dan Vs., we have a mafia family using "Cupcake" as a euphemism for "kill". As in, saying "We're going to
cupcake him!" while stabbing a photo.
Coincidence?
Well ain't there one damn song that can make me break down and cry?

I had the exact same thought when I heard that.

There's "a fine line" between "There's" and "between".
