If the Mane 6 were a superhero team, who would they be spoofing?

My list:

Twilight - Zatanna. Or Dr. Fate or Dr. Strange, but they are a little too powerful and knowledgeable even for Twilight.
Applejack - any of the Batclan. Maybe some other martial artist I'm unfamiliar with.
Rarity - Edna Mode. Any good telekinetics, otherwise?
Pinkie - someone luck-based. I believe Longshot fits, though I got that from Wikipedia.
Fluttershy - someone with telepathy, or Poison Ivy-esque? Or even Animal Man?

Didn't the dev team repeatedly state that they're going to use strictly S1 material?

Definitely [[The Ace]]. The rest of the Mane Six being MMDW aside, the character feels like a comedic send-up/affectionate parody of the "dark, mysterious invincible hero" cliche.

There was a superheroin named Shamrock who had luck-based powers... sorta. there was also Domino from the X-Men, though hers was technically subconcious telekenisis... but considering her power was essentially if she needed something to happen it would, it fits for pinkie.

No Applejack thinks Zecora is but between the Stealth Hi/Bye she pulled off and being prepared for almost everything she's more of a Batmare.

Plus Rainbow is Ponyville's friendly neighbourhood Spidermare.

Yes. I don't recommend it. Molten glass is very hot.
