The intrigue about the mare is certainly... intriguing.

My vote is still firmly cast that he/she'll be a new character. A character reminiscent of Major Man (I'm aware that I've said this countless times)

Yeah, no one's winning that thing. If I may give my two bits (hah) though, Basil only just woke up when Twilight tried talking to him. If he had been more awake, he might have been more inclined to listen, but as far as he was likely concerned it's the same as being woken up by a fly. You just roll over and go back to sleep. He probably barely even realized there was a pony there at that point.

I am kind of hoping the mare is a new one-shot too. We haven't had any of those this season, and I've kind of missed them, I'll admit. I liked Gilda and Trixie's episodes, regardless of wehat you think of them personally.
