I imagine Spike would give Peeler an earful if he dared to refer to Spike as Twilight's "pet." I think Twilight would stick up for Spike, as well. He's her assistant. Plus, he's sentient.

well, all the other pets seem pretty intelligent even if they can't speak. Except for Gummy, he's just... I don't even know. He just stares.

Still though, seeing Peeler and spike have an argument about it would be funny. I can imagine Peeler getting technical about it, too.

if we're calling this TV Tropes fandom, we could include junk from the RP as well - so give Cogs a sister, the watchmaker - Tick Tock. Or Square Root, who was an inventor who made a set of clockwork arms. Either way.

Peeler's issue with Tank should be more about "piloting an unlicensed, unregistered aircraft" or something like that.

That, and he doesn't really are for Dash after the whole 'speeding' incident.

Oh, he's still fair. He just watches her a bit more closely then the rest of ponyville.

If Peeler decided that Spike was technically Twilight's "pet, " do you think he'd make Twilight slap a collar and license on him? I'm imagining Twilight walking a really pissed-off looking Spike through Ponyville on a leash.

The real question is if he makes Twilight put a leash on Spike, what will he do when Fluttershy goes through town with a bunch of animals.

You saw what happened to Gilda, if he does anything to upset her he'll be vilified forever.

I think he might be a bit irritating at first, but after a while he'd start to get a better feel for what crimes were actually bad and what were just stupid bylaws that nobody listens to (Seriously, every town has them. Mine had bylaws against riding skateboards and whistling on mainstreet). Then he would become a much more well-liked and friendly cop. He'd just become that guy who's always roaming about and everpony says hi to.

And he would always have something for Spike if he ever saw him. Just, you know. as a way of saying sorry for the whole leash thing.

His first day in and of itself would probably make for a pretty funny story.

He could always be a Jerk with a Heart of Gold. He clearly means well, and I'm sure his stickler tendencies would end up saving ponies every now and then.

see, I can imagine him starting out that way, but winding up like Angel was at the end of the movie - still dedicated to the law, but much more mellow and accepting of the 'minor crimes'. Sol he starts as a well meaning sort of jerk, but he quickly becomes a friendly neighborhood cop.

Yes, a by the book stick in the mud who really means well!

Tealove is the only one who really sees Peeler 'switched off' (besides Pip). She knows what he's really like, and won't have people putting her dream stallion down.

I imagine he'd throw the book at her, then back down when Fluttershy starts to cry. He's tough, but he does have a heart under his gruff exterior.
