Hey, for all we know, Celestia does go all wrathful god when the situation calls for it. Most of the time we see her she's just chilling, the closest we've gotten to her in crisis mode is when Discord showed up.

I got the impression that Celestia's attitude during the Discord incident was VERY OOC for her.

When one of her cities was being ravaged by parasprites she still acted as cool as a cucumber and didn't even seem all that worried about it

Luna seems more angry and prone to making split second bad decisions than Celestia. In my mind a Tyrant needs to have a relatively level head.

Did she even really know what was going on? She just said the place had been infested by a swarm of bothersome creatures. Also, without Twilight those parasprites would have just been eating food, not the entire town. And with a swarm, there isn't really a central target for anger anyway, like Discord was.

So? Celestria is not tyranical in show and that's not stoping some people.

Maybe Celestria was OOC in Dis Qord episodes or she just pretended so she could trick Disqord.

Discord was also an UNFATHOMABLY large threat. I can't imagine there'd be many creatures capable of making Celestia act like that.

It'd need to be an event of Equestria-shattering proportions, which I can't picture happening all that often.

I love how Celestia goes to Ponyville first. "An emergency in one of my cities so big that I (a god) have to step in to stop it? A plague of creatures devouring all of my subjects' food? Ah, I'll go and tell my student first"

I don't think there was any troble in Fillydelphia. She just made this up as exuse for not going to ruinded Ponyville and not humiliating Twilight , but also make obvious that she know what hapen (and only Pinkie don't get that).

You know, I've always sort of suspected that Celestia was giving Twilight an out during that scene. Like she shows up and thinks, "are those parasprites? Shit, Ponyville is probably a mess right now. And Twilight looks ready to freak out. Okay, make up an excuse and give her time to fix this."

Yeah, there's absolutely no basis for that in the episode, but whatever.

Damn, did I just get epic ninja'd or what.

Celestia looked genuinely surprised at the sight of Pinkie and the parasprites. I don't think she knew what happened (or rather, I don't WANT to think that. I don't like to imagine that Celestia knows EVERYTHING! I like her to have SOME falability)

She mentions needing to go to Fillydelphia BEFORE seeing the parasprites I believe.

Also, if this theory is true then that means Celestia outright LIED to Twilight. Her manipulations in the past involved either not telling Twilight the whole story, or saying things that actually mean more than what Twilight THINKS they mean. She's never just straight up LIED to her student.

I don't know, it just bothers me. As much as I love Magnificent Bastard!Celestia, I don't like to imagine that she's got some kind of manipulation going on EVERY TIME she shows up.

And I like said before she telled this "LIE" to Twilight that it was obvious that she made up all troble in Filydelfia and only Pinkie belived that "lie".

Also she declered Pinkie and Parasprites as parade.

25-30 fps seems to be plenty smooth for animation. Maybe we're just spoilt on ultra-powerful desktops giving us 60+ fps when gaming :V

Though if you wanna go into errors, they've made a blooper video of the entire first season errors.
