I think humanizing the characters is sort of missing the point. And that rarity
does look off.
Also, in general, I do't like makeup. It tries to be an Erotic Illusion, giving something... unearthly... to someone's appearance. But it takes little effort to see through for the trained eye, and then you move from "looking interesting" to "trying too hard to look interesting", which is practically equivalent to "looking uninteresting". On average, people try too hard. Nevertheless, points to Rarity for a rather effective minimalism, which one really wouldn't expect from such a hammy pony.
I wonder if we'll ever get to see Llamas. Also, is Equestria on the USA, to reach the Far West by train? I got a distinct European vibe from it, what with the open-air cafés and the architecture and the royalty...
Oh, and there is an alternate theory that Equestria isn't flat, it's spherical, but Geocentric, and the Sun and the Moon share the same orbit around the Earth.
Earth. What a... pedestrian name. Why not call it "Dirt", while we're at it?

Cruella is Rarity's
Evil Counterpart in the
Disney Canon.
Well, actually Rarity is somewhere between Cruella and that bad woman from The Rescuers, you know, the one with a "famous boutique". Cruella is a rich heiress, which Rarity isn't. Also, Cruella is British, Rarity only
tries to sound British in a world where even the Queen sounds American.

I don't want to set the world on fire, baby. I love you too much. I just want to start a big, big flame in your heart.
