Thanks! Yeah, he didn't come out looking quite as thick as I'd intended, but that may be a matter of perspective - put him beside a regular pony, and he'd suddenly look much bigger. I think he still comes out looking pretty broad, though. Unless by 'bigger' you meant muscular.

As for the police coat thing, all the reference pictures I found of policemen had waist-height coats. Plus, I've tried it before and having a coat that actually goes around a pony's hind legs looks weird, so I'd just settled for having a long coat wrap around and cover their flanks as well. Though I suppose if the coat simply stopped at the belly in the front, and the sides and back went long... it would still look sort of odd I think, but it might fit.

But eh, no more drawing tonight. I need to sleep. Later, all.

Would eternal sunlight even be that bad? I mean yeah, you'd still want to stop her, but I don't think it'd have as horrible an effect on the ecosystem as eternal night would.

Yes, this is what I wanted.

Not as inherently dangerous I'd imagine but the thing that generally goes with eternal day is that heat increases a ton and deserts spontaneously form. The other bad thing about eternal day would be being tidally locked to the sun but I don't know if that applies to Equestria.

Ninja: Yeah the radiation would be bad as well.

The effect would depend on how different Equestria is from Earth. At the very least you'll have extensive desertification, deaths from heatstroke and far more deadly storms.

I'm pretty sure there'd have to be some additional effects (like extra intense heat from the sun or the wholesale removal of clouds) for eternal sunlight to be all that debilitating. We have sunlight over here in britain and tust us, NO ONE is gonna die from heatstroke in this weather.

Although, I see what you mean about the storms. Water would be getting evaporated at a near constant rate, that would probably lead to some pretty intense weather after a while

As for the sun thing, again assuming that Equestria functions like earth and does the sun and moon revolving around the planet thing, I think the biggest issue would be the difference between the two halves of the planet. One side would be really hot, and the other really cold. Lord only knows how much that would fuck up the planet.

Yeah, but if the landscape gets no relief from the light and heat, you can bet something's gonna give sooner or later.

I thought Equestria's world was a disc. Of course if it is a sphere the best plan would be to migrate to the twilight band between night and day. There wouldn't be much of that though.

It may be. Then again, with a proper moon and stars, it's hard to imagine that just their world is a disc.

Speaking of, would eternal night really have caused death of all life? Half the world would probably still be in daylight, unless Nightmare Moon somehow wrapped the sun in darkness or something, to keep it from shining at all, rather than just forcing it to not rise.

edit: Didn't we relatively recently discover a planet that can support life within a narrow band of eternal twilight?

You know, I never thought I'd like this show so much. I mean, I like horses in Real Life, and ponies bring back childhood memories... sturdy little fellows, aren't they? But these have nothing to do with any actual horses, yet I can't help but find them adorable.

Especially Rarity, she's my favourite. It's really cute to see her trying so hard to be sophisticated. She almost trascends class in her scintillating display of style and inspiration. That Blueblood doesn't know the first thing about being a gentleman. No, wait, he knows the first thing, which is the easiest: being haughty. But he doesn't know the most important part: being chivalrous. I say, what a sensless waste...

1) Tough question. I find that I easily identify most with Twilight and Fluttershy, but I like watching Rainbow Dash the most, with Pinkie Pie right after that. But in the end I think I'll go with Fluttershy.

2) I haven't really had time to reflect on what my favorite is out of all of them just yet, considering I've basically speedrun my way through the series. As a whole I think the Cutie Mark Chronicles affected me the most without being freaky like the rest of the eps of Season 2 though.

3) I think Pinkie is great! But that damn fanfic seems to have ruined her with a lot of the fandom. =|

4) Macintosh, eyup.

5) Sure. though she probably wouldn't get it. Wonder if she'll make a reappearence.
