EDIT: Well, the DVD thing kinda sucks, but at least they went to the trouble of actually explaining why they're doing what their doing. At the very least it shows that they care enough about the fans to keep us informed. I just hope the single disc sets won't be too expensive.

Yeah, I see the resemblance, but Dali was the first thing that came to mind when I saw it, so that's what I went with.

I cannot escape ponies. I checked a World of Warcraft comic randomly to see if it finally updated, and it did! And the author linked to this in her blogs with the words "Just roll with it". Even when I try to step away from the fandom, it comes back to find me!

Now I remember why I don't draw more often. This took me all Celestia damned day.

My first real attempt at shading in Photoshop and I'm glad it doesn't look like complete ass. But that cape can just jump off a cliff. Seriously, fuck shading billowing cloth.

Hey, speaking of drawings, I had some free time today so I took a crack at drawing Peeler myself! Well, a few cracks, it would seem, but they were all just starting with the same base and adding on to it.

I couldn't decide if I wanted to give him facial hair, you see, so I did some experimenting.

He struck me as the clean-shaven◊ type first, but that looked too young.

so I tried a nice, solid mustache, but that just looked odd.

I finally went full-on beard, and I think that one looks really nice. It fits with the nice, Stout Strength sort of portliness I tried to give him. and honestly between that and the beard he was starting to look a little bit like my dad.

and then, having avoided it three times, I finally got the nerve to try drawing him with his helmet. There's another one where the helmet has a strap, but it's too small of a detail to bother with another link.

But yeah. I gave him a nice, portly sort of frame, to make him look a bit more friendly. The badge on the back of his coat is supposed to be his cutie mark, just printed on the coat. Was it standard issue, and that's where the mark come from? Does Trottingham let it's police force customize their uniform with their marks? Who knows!

just as an aside, you remember that RP I mentioned a few pages back? it actually took place in Trottingham, barely halfway through season 1! crazy, huh?

Those actually look pretty cool. I always pictured him being a bit bigger build wise and I always figured that he wore a long police cloak that hangs down to his knees (which I guess he still COULD wear at night) but that's just MY image of him I don't know what Apple thinks.

I never thought of facial hair, but you're right, it fits him rather well. Not ungood, kegi!
