I wouldn't mind an episode akin to "22 short films about springfield" that jumped around from short story to short story Pulp Fiction style. It'd allow them to give some minor characters who wouldn't usually get an episode to themselves a short moment in the spotlight.

So this season was written before Brony thing even started.

They are like the others. Strange, hideous, resisting, fighting. Only these were not like the others. They did not die.

This would be really cool, but there aren't that many characters that could be used for it. The show runners seem content to leave the backgrounders in the background, so they're probably out. We've got Big Mac, the mayor, and Cheerilee, but other than that I can't think of any Ponyvillians with actual roles in the show.

I have to admit, it can be a little annoying when people stretch everything to claim it's a reference to the fandom.

Clearly I need to think more before I make my posts.

I think there's enough more prominent characters that such an episode wouldn't need to use the flower trio. Yeah, they're consistent in their characterization so far, unlike Bon Bon, but they're also pretty one note. Of course a Short Stories About Ponyville episode would be a good opportunity to flesh them out a bit, so who knows.

I support the idea of a Big Mac episode. I guess it would revolve around the fact that he seems to be so calm all the time, and him eventually losing it. Or something.

Well, I had an idea that a lot of people here seemed to like, and that was a Big Mac/CMC episode where the crusaders decide to skip school (to do more crusadin') and Big Mac starts trailing them terminator style in an attempt to get them back to school before AJ finds out

I hope Big Mac starts getting some actual dialogue soon. I don't need him to start giving soliloquies or anything, but in season one he'd have a line or two if the situation called for it. Now he's leaning a little heavily on the eeyups. If he doesn't get a bad ass one liner at some point I will be disappointed.

Bare hooves? You give the mac FAR too little credit.

His chiseled jaw could stop a freight train and you know it. It'd be like that shot in Hancock.

While I'm mostly inclined to agree, I'm also a little curious to see how far they could take it. I can imagine him saying Eeyup and Nope with a WIDE variety of emotions and inflections

While that would be amusing, I'd rather see Big Mac get some character development rather than be used as a running gag.

Well, he's clearly capable of talking normally. His family just seem to communicate with him entirely in Yes/No questions

It is a little annoying, and would get more than a little contrived after a while

Well, if anything, his Eeyups and Nopes sounded a lot prouder in Cutie Pox, so at least it's clear that he was happy with AB

When the day finaly comes and he's forced to answer properly, the other Apple members should lean over to the one who asked the question and go: "Cough up"

I want more Ship Tease between Twilight and Big Mac. In "Return of Harmony", he licks her, and in "Lesson Zero", they share their love for Smarty Pants.

I like to imagine he was body swapped with Winona in that scene. (Winona licks Twilight's cheek in May the Best Pet Win, maybe she's really fond of Twilight?)
