If Trixie was introduced and actually WAS as powerful as she claimed?

I'd be able to enjoy her as a villain in the same way I enjoyed Blueblood, but I wouldn't be able to develop genuine affection for her.

Oh yes, and despite her moments of egotism RD's still my 4th favourite Mane cast member

I actually enjoy Blueblood somewhat myself, though I loathe Trixie with a passion.

One girl I converted to bronyism actually refers to him as "Pony France".

For what it's worth, RD's fighting for 3rd place with Fluttershy at the moment so at the moment they're about equal

My order goes: AJ, Twilight, Fluttershy, RD, Rarity, Pinkie

I can't say much about RD's arrogance that hasn't already been said. Though her insecurity in Sonic Rainboom was always kind of weird, I don't really see any reason for to be as torn up as she was (losing aside), unless that was supposed to imply something more serious.

Also I don't get Trixie's popularity. Yeah she was pretty entertaining but, did she really leave that big of an impression on the fanbase?

I'm attracted to villains. entertaining villains even moreso. potentially sympathetic villains even more than that. So yeah, that's where MY love of her came from. To hell with what the rest of the fandom thinks

And I pegged RD has having an inferiority complex or something when I saw how she acted in Sonic Rainboom.

Interesting. Mine is similar for supporting cast because I'm always more attached to some oddball assistant or rival then I am to any main character and some villains.

Me too most of the time.

but really, my motto translates more to: "A film is only as good as its OBSTACLES (as in, obstacles facing the protagonists)" and since obstacles in media mostly come in the form of antagonists, I've come to just natrually gravitate towards them
