What else did they write? Because I'll agree, Luna Eclipsed was the one time I really got annoyed with Pinkie.

But she didn't know it was a surprise party, she thought her friends were trying to ditch her. If all my friends started trying to avoid me I'd want to know what was up too. Really they should have designated someone to keep her busy that day rather than acting all suspicious.

It's the difference between keeping a secret because it's not yours to reveal and it's none of the other person's business, and keeping a secret from someone that directly affects them. If the cast really was trying to stop being friends with Pinkie then that's definitely her business.

I'm partial towards Lyra and Bon Bon, but I DON'T ship those two as a couple. Shipping is overrated IMO.

@Crow I'd say throwing a surprise party for anypony is considered that pony's business, but Pinkie still keeps it from them.

Well yeah, but you're only keeping the secret until the party, and there's no maliciousness there. And now I'm piling up what should be simple with loads of "well in this case it's okay" justifications. Let's just agree that Pinkie is good at throwing parties and bad at friendship.

But they were also only planning on keeping the party a secret until it started.

and it wouldn't be so bad if the episode didn't villainize the mane cast and make it look like Pinkie's the one who deserves Sympathy when she doesn't. She's co-dependent, psychotic, yet our sympathy is supposed to remain perfectly planted with her

At least we're supposed to think that Twilight messed up BAD in Lesson Zero (which is a similar occurancce)

Okay, how was Pinkie's surprise party any of her business then?
