Eh, I doubt Dash would mind that. Hell I doubt she would get that it's a joke.

Rainbow Dash definitely did dress in style for the Gala and for her Pet Photo-op, though.

She strikes me as probably doesn't mind dressing up, and might actually enjoy it - it's just really, really not practical for her everyday. I mean within reason, I guess - it's either every time Rarity gets her into that Marie Antoinette dress it's way too over the top for her tastes and she prefers something flashy but simple, she's bored because time is being taken out of her day and/or her movement is being constricted...

Or it's a running gag from when she first met Rarity and Rarity just likes to mess with her with it.

The real problem with suits is that they're ridiculously hot. Even if the career fair has good air conditioning (which it better) that won't help with the trip there and back.
