I never bother checking who writes the episode. To me it doesn't matter.
An absolutely horrible person. Really.

I find it better to go into episodes without hearing other peoples' opinions of them beforehand. That way, I can form my own opinion of whether the episode is good or bad, without knowing in advance that "most people love/hate/are indifferent to this episode", which might taint my own reaction.

This. The only time I look for episode reviews before hand is if it's a show that I don't have the time to watch all the way through and I want to skip the filler.

I don't really care who writes the episodes.
That's my dream. It's my nightmare. Crawling, slithering, along the edge of a straight razor … and surviving.

Me neither. The only reason I know who wrote some of the episodes is when people make a big deal about it.

Regarding Spike At Your Service, I think AJ still should have been able to buck that rock into the next county with her free leg.

@Seraphem: Thing is, I don't think that PYHD really exaggerated Fluttershy all that much. Yeah, the early scenes had a higher proportion of jerks than usual, but it only seems odd because we rarely see the ponies going about their business in day to day life.

Om the whole, I don't, FIM is the first show I ever really paid attention. You can tell the style a lot of writers have. Williams.. we've been over. Polsky, makes some good episdoes, he just.. tends to not think to hard about some of the Unfortunate Implications in stuff he writes. MA Larson, you know you'll get a ton of Call Back's and Continuity Nod's, plus it'll be epic. Meghan, tends to have some really great concepts, great big ideas, though can flub the execution at times. couch*Sombra*cough*

I'm now caught up again on my ATGs. I'm actually really happy with how this one turned out.

I can't really tell the difference between writers.

Come to think of it, I really enjoyed Putting Your Hoof Down. Partly because 'Shy actually succeeds in being more assertive. Of course she went too far in trying to be assertive, but actually displaying her inner resolve so clearly was enjoyable to me.

Also, two buck Chuck isn't the best wine in the world, but it's not bad for what it is.

To quote John Cleese: And now for something completely different. Just found Michelle Creber's channel on YouTube and I'm so tempted to subscribe to her and I kinda do have a soft spot for Apple Bloom.

Another great thing about the episode is that Iron Will wasn't actually evil. He seemed surprisingly reasonable in the end.

I drink wine/champagne in moderation nowadays, when I drink it at all. My stomach doesn't like the acidity.

@Kuroi: Thanks, it took me a while to figure out how to cram the prompt into my Everfree setting. :P Nice job on the wing fingers in yours, too.

I second JT's comment on Iron Will. I really like that they were able to make a "villain" based on being pushy and aggressive turn out to be actually quite reasonable.

^ "Ship ship" is now best sound effect.

@ Syd: Two Buck Chuck is what everyone I know calls Charles Shaw. So if you're interested in finding some, look for Charles Shaw.

[up][up]That is fantastic!

Starscream- you can still do the reviews. I don't see why not. :l

Also, OMG GUISE one of the dealers at mom's antique shop brought in goodie backs of knickknacks today. One of them had a POCKET WATCH in it. AND IT STILL WORKS. IT WAS 3 BUCKS.

Yay. :D

That's understandable, Creber's is one Genky Girl in real life and has a nice singing voice.

@Ike No I mean like video reviews on episodes not my written reviews. I feel I have been watching too many of them when it comes to MLP episodes so I reckon I should cut down on them. But yeah I think I should definatly subscribe to Michelle Creber's YT channel.
