Spyro, I've never heard of this Shadow person before, but I wish him the best of luck in his attempts to take over and/or destroy the world.

Purple Dalek, Sauron actually does have arms. Him being a disembodied eyeball is just a common misconception! It certainly didn't help that Peter Jackson used a fiery eyeball as a stand-in for that movie, because he was too cheap to pay for the rights to use Sauron's likeness.

The real reason Sauron loses at croquet all the time is because he sucks.
