since i was an old man even as a child, i spent most of my youth watching Boomerang (Cartoon Network's nostalgia channel). the Smurfs, Jetsons, Yogi Bear, and Johnny Quest (awesome show) were as common to me as they were to my parents.

We watched just about every Hanna Barbera cartoon, some of the creepy puppet shows from the 70s, Fat Albert, a ton of b-movies, oldschool MLP, the list goes on and on. And between which there was a fat casett case full of psychedelic and prog rock from the 60s and 70s.

Have fond memories of Disney's amazing late 80s and early 90's cartoons, also Swat Kats, Reboot, and Batman.

somewhere in my DVD collection, there exists a 5-disc box set of Fat Albert. i intend on dusting it off in the near future.

i also have some Speed Racer episodes on DVD. nothing brightens your day like badly dubbed 1970s anime. [lol]

SWAT Kats, Reboot, and Batman.

the three shows any self-respecting 90s kid needs. wink

Hooray for hilariously faildubs [lol]

[up]Always got a laugh reimagining the Web creatures as anons from 4chan. Clearly Mainframe needs to get more updates for Bob and the antivirus software.

We all grew up with Boomerang and Cartoon Network. For me, Ed, Edd and Eddy and the Powerpuff Girls. Also, Johnny Bravo before the art shift...though some parts of the later seasons weren't terrible. CHILDHOOD!

The thing is that I didn't watch much TV as a kid, since my family didn't have a TV. And when I did watch tv, it was mostly just whatever cartoon happened to be on.

Bill Nye the Science Guy, anyone?

But yeah, I remember SWAT Kats, Batman and Reboot.

Bill! Bill! Bill!

Oh yeah, that show was great. Twi would have loved it.

Also those Big Three shows are why present-day Okto is a terrible children's entertainment channel compared to good old Premiere 12.

@Ace: Dangit. I wish there was an easier way to tell ahead of time.

@Apple: Nah, that's not weird. I had a crush on Misty from Pokemon, which is awkward now, seeing as I'm now closer in age to Ash's mom than I am to Misty. [[spoiler: Fortunately, Ash's mom is hot.

anyone else remember Rocky And Bullwinkle? that show may have started my appreciation of Fourth Wall humor.

@Librarian: never got into Digimon, but i sure as heck got into everything else you mentioned. especially Toonami. TOM was the coolest robot on television back then.

Heyooo! I've just come back from college for my induction day and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Got my timetable for College and pretty much gonna expect big things with the media studies so all is good on my end. So the hell did I miss?

Abomination! Dug, Kablam!, Hey Arnald, Ah! Real Monsters, and Rocket Power was mine. I swear, RP is the most 90s show you will ever find.

Also had a fondness for the 90s Disney cartoons, Recess, Darkwing Duck, Duck Tales, and Timon and Pumbaa. And Bill was the one thing in science class everyone could love. That guy was such a delicious ham while teaching awesome science.

I never saw the show, but as a kid, the movie was so horrifying that I had to leave the theater partway through. That gave me nightmares.

same here. i can still hear the Rocket Power theme song in my head. when i found out that the same people behind that were behind Rugrats, The Wild Thornberrys, and As Told By Ginger, i started dreaming of the crossover opportunities.

@story: trust me, the original show is much better.
