The Hub version mercilessly cut out the best parts and songs. Now it's like an extended commercial for sure! Damn basters!sad

Welp cleared another bad episode of MLP now the next one I'm gonna watch is the one episode that caused so much irate among parents for season 2 and I think ya know which I'm on about. Personally everyone's said their two cents about the whole thing with "Derpy" so I have really got nothing else to add to it and if we mentioned it now we'll only be beating up a dead horse no pun intended. So instead I'll focus on the episode overall, before I watch it anybody got anything to comment on this particular one?

Right now, the ONLY song playing is "Helping Twilight win the crown". Or "Equestria girls" as the credits like to lie about. But they cut out her song entering the school.

[up][up][up][up]...They seriously cut parts from their own movie?

Yep. Unlike the online version you can see already, they left out a big chunk of footage. Like when Twilight explores the school, and sees all the new crap, like Cheerlee in her homeroom and a song plays along with all the exploring.

[up]See, I would say that they have to cut at least a few things for time, but that's generally limited only to a line or two here and there. And EQG is a short enough movie anyways that they shouldn't have had any trouble fitting something as big as one of the songs in.

They also cut out Trixie's scene and the computer scene.

AND the scene where the Humane Six arrive at the school for the dance.

that caused so much irate among parents for season 2

I don't think it was parents that did the complaining. Most parents probably never even heard the word derp before.

They also cut out Trixie's scene and the computer scene.

What, are they trying to get rid of all the shoutouts to the main show?

So.. they are cutting out everything that made the movie enjoyable to watch, and only leaving the crap that made it a bad movie overall?

[up]No, they cut out those scenes even though they proved crucial to plot.

What the hell? Why are they even bothering to air this bastardized version? Are they airing it this way just so they can jam in more commercials?

I'm glad I've already seen the full version. I can avoid this like the feather flu.

@nomuran:Thank. You. THAT'S what i'm talking about!

@Yeller:They want it short enough to fit their fucking time slot, but the footage was just at least a minute or two longet for the film. so there's no reason to edit it!

BREAKING NEWS: They just played the "Equestria girls" parody song commercial while the movie still doesn't have the damn song. It's like a damn middle finger to us!just bugs me

[down]Yep!

@Storyyeller But whatever it's just a thing that happened that I will not bring up again. So I'll guess it's time for me to watch THAT episode I guess. So whatever, see you guys in a bit.

That really takes some nerve. Why wouldn't they want to play their own show's movie? The Hub's going to get some flac from this, and it probably won't be just from us either.

[up][up]Hell(Hub) was hoping enough small girls and bronies unfortunate that they didn't get to se it in theatures were able to see it on TV BASTERDIZED!

Just realized they cut out the meat scene. FUCK THIS! I'M GOIN' HOME!

[up]Fact is, I don't think many Hub subcribers under the age of 12 and not aware of the brony fandom, or parents over the cool dad age of 25 to 30 knew it was in theatures. So Hub did what they wanted and nobody but us really knows.

I saw a fair number of them when I went to see it in theaters, but that's probably only a small portion of the total.

Anyway, just watched Spice and Wolf episode 3. I think it's much better then the first two. Hopefully it just got off to a slow start.
