I'm slightly convinced that Twilight has some sort of mental breakdown on or around one Tuesday out of a month. I dub these "Twilight Tuesdays".

@Mio: Yeah, I know what you mean. The way I see it is after the Discord incident, which she'd view a major screwup on her part for abandoning her friends, she feels even more pressure to get everything else right.

The ironic thing is that in season 1, Twilight had the least impressive breakdown of the mane 6.

@J Teeth: That would have made for an interesting if they had actually decided to go with that instead of what they actually did.

I'm always disappointed with This Day Aria in any language, even English. The song itself is awesome, but none of the singers have been able to carry Chrysalis's part with the power and technique I think it requires.

@CDRW: It's only a matter of time before somebody with the required pipes does a cover.

@CRDW: Yeah, I'm usually disappointed too, but I love the English version. Britt Mc Killip has a really wonderful voice, and hearing it for the first time I was blown away. (I'm hoping for Cadance and Twilight have a song together one day.)

Out of all the dubs so far, I like what I'm hearing out of the Polish one.

I'm gonna say probably swedish, since it's a memetically sexy language, but I dunno.

Why do all the songs in the show have to be sung by girls? I'd like to get to put my singing ability to use sometime.

Well... the lack of stallions as main characters probably helps.

Season 4: Soaren has a singing part in the Wonderbolts Musical! Flash Sentry sings a song about how being disciplined doesn't mean he has no personality! Big Mac Internally monologues an epic poem about the zen of farmwork and simple life, while bobbing his head and humming the tune!

A Big Mac song would be perfect. His voice is the closest to my natural voice, both in pitch and timbre.

Huh. Not sure what to think of the foreign songs. The Finnish ones sound really desync'd from the background and don't have a solid beat, but the Russian ones are really good. I might like Russian Chrysalis better than English — she has a bit more control over her higher modal register, and they changed an early tonic near the end of her phrase that sounded weird and kinda shouty in the original to a lower and more tense note.

Really, we need more cartoon songs with women singing a more aggressive modal. Or even anything other than falsetto ALL THE TIME. Give altos some love.
