@story: There's currently two comic lines. One of them currently has nine issues, the first four of them are the Chrysalis arc, then four issues of the Nightmare arc, and issue nine is the Bic Mac comic which will be continued in issue ten.
The second comic line has an issue for each of the main six, with some more planned for other characters.

@Story: There's My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic IDW, which is the arc-based ongoing series Crow mentioned, and then there's My Little Pony Micro Series, which focus on individual characters.

Yeah, they're doing a pair of 2-part Story Arcs, first with Big Mac interacting with random ponies in Ponyville all to find some frickin' nails, followed by a Shining Armor & Cadance origin story about how they fell in love in their teen years. We can expect homages to 80's teen romance movies and Shining being a DnD nerd. And after that, pirates!
The comics are a good thing.

The only one I've read was the first IDW comic.
Anyway, I think Fancy Free is a much better name then Fancy Conjurer. You need to stop worrying about the names and just get started.

Speaking of the comic, Katie Cook is going to be attending Dragon Con in Atlanta. I'm half tempted to stop by while I'm there and talk to her about her work on the comic.

Wow, me and Applelight are awake at the same time, this is a momentous occasion.
Anyway, I agree, you can't stay stuck in the planning stage forever, you need to start producing content. It might suck at first (mine sure did) but you need the experience to ever get good.

Half of the stuff I came up with I didn't think of until I started writing the actual story and realized what things I needed to focus on. Half the stuff you're messing with now might not ever come up in the story itself, so there's no point in trying to perfect it.

I think I'm in a similar spot. I have a lot of ideas but am too scared to start. But I know once I do I'll have something concrete to work with and it'll be easier to work out.
