Today's prompt is a pony using tools. How appropriate that I got a call for a job interview at a hardware store this afternoon.

Unless it's part of Celestia's grand plan to justify her inability to take personal responsibility by teaching competent ponies to do it and point to them as having good enough judgement that it must be a good idea.

The more I think about it, the more I like the headcanon that Celestia's real power is guidance and leadership, rather than magical strength. She possesses the power to defend Equestria from any threat, but that power isn't in her horn or wings—it's in the unwavering obedience of the ponies that Celestia delegates to deal with threats.

Yeah, that's pretty similar to how I see her. Not that she isn't extremely powerful magically, but her power is simply due to 1000+ years of practice rather than because she's particularly talented at it.

That makes sense. She's powerful, but her real strength is her faith in others. Probably why a direct fight with the Queen failed.

It's an interesting headcanon at least. Could make a good story.

I still prefer to think she lost against Chrysalis because her specialty is not friendly to enclosed rooms full of bystanders. Being too powerful is sometimes a bad thing too.

Wonder if anyone's considered an action story for Luna during the changeling invasion? Perhaps there was a threat she was keeping at bay during the wedding which is why she was late to the party.
