@Dark: The good news is that they're researching all sorts of cool vision-assistive hardware. I wonder if you could get a modified Google Glass to augment your eyesight.

Man, you always go straight for the tech in these situations.

At least this time it's reasonable tech. tongue

Sorry to hear the day hasn't gone so well, dark. And now I feel a bit bad even mentioning my eye surgery.

Nah, wouldn't help. I need some really careful surgery to remove the cataracts and something to keep my eyes stable, otherwise it could actually fall apart.

That's not going to help. The hard part is not the camera itself but connecting it to the brain. The best devices I know of currently use electrodes to stimulate the tounge. Which provides some degree of vision, but it's a far cry from the real thing.

At least this time it's reasonable tech.

Not really.

@Storyyeller Ah right, just started season 2 gotcha. Even though I pretty much have a good idea who it is anyway. I really do need to get used to the randomness around here cuz it's really gonna be a long couple of months before season 4 comes out. In the meantime I'll take my time with season 2 along with watching the next anime series I want to watch. Not gonna say what it is but I will say it's a popular anime done by Funimation that you will have heard about.

If it's Haruhi Suzumiya I'd strongly recommend the novels.

I'd actually heard of someone who had a video camera hooked up to their brain to provide vision. I imagine it was extremely experimental, though.

I guess Princess Twi's first lesson is "How Not To Snap and Become A Villain".

Luna: Twilight! I have come to teach you the most important lesson of all! How not to be evil!

Twilight: Uh... I think I've got a handle on that already.

Luna: You'd think so, wouldn't you? Well so did I! I have seen you Twilight Sparkle, and you are a neurotic bitch! Trust me, you need this lesson. Now let us begin!

Simple, he went to the Equestria Girls prom, killed Sunset Shimmer, used the crown to make a wormhole, and got back here.

@Kegi: Since the storyboard indicates that Twi is essentially seeing things from Celestia's point of view for one scene, what if SHE has to make the call to put Luna away? Like, she BECOMES Celestia for that moment? Maybe it's more about 'making extremely painful decisions for the common good' than 'not being evil'.

Technically a better lesson... but not really as funny.

Unless it's part of Celestia's grand plan to justify her inability to take personal responsibility by teaching competent ponies to do it and point to them as having good enough judgement that it must be a good idea.

Now if you'll excuse her, her comfort food dishes from the decade after Luna's banishment just returned from Tir Na Nog and she needs to go find a maid capable of handling both an infestation of angry fae and the monsters that mutated out of the scraps.

There was a lot of cheese in that decade. Nationwide shortage, almost.

@Teeth: I think a little criticism of our roleplaying here in general, along with discussion of season four hopes I think.

(May I be thunked in the head by a cheese bolt from a cheese crossbow if I am wrong!)

I'd actually heard of someone who had a video camera hooked up to their brain to provide vision. I imagine it was extremely experimental, though.

There are several systems like that, but none of them are particularly good.

For the record there I pretty much got a big headache, making me having to leave this thread for a bit and wait till things blow over so yeah it's been kind of a long day for everyone here when that happened.

[up] Don't worry Japanese Teeth ya not the only one who is confused with what happened earlier. I was there when it happened and even I don't know what to think about it, nor do I wish to find out.
