I was lucky enough to catch Madoka as it aired, so I couldn't be spoiled.
On the other hand you had to wait like 3 months for the final episodes.

We're trying to turn Orion into a nail-chewing, earth-shaking, hot-blooded hunter of stars, but he's lacking confidence. He needs a visit from Iron Will.

I'm working more on my original thingy, but that's about it.
@Story: Yeah, that was frustrating. Totally worth it, though.

Boy howdy are you missing out. I love it's ruefully backhanded humour with a satirical edge. A Fish Full of Dollars is one of it's first decent eepisodes of season. Basically it really hits it's stride once Frie gets used to his new life.

@Story: I had the Kyubey face as my avatar for a while and it freaked out people who weren't even aware of the show.
Speaking of creepy/cute stuff, I'm a little disappointed no one seemed to notice my We3 avatars. Though I suppose that series leans more to depressing than creepy. What's creepy is that anyone would think to weaponise house pets into cybernetic killing machines.

I don't even know what We3 is, so I couldn't have noticed.

Fry is a simple man with simple tastes. Give him some friends, TV, and beer, and he's happy—regardless of what century he's in.
And on the topic of metal...
All the metal bands I really like tend to be metal plus something else. Korpiklaani, Diablo Swing Orchestra, Arkona, Demon Hunter, Showbread, Marc Rizzo, Soulfly (well, just their album Prophecy). Hmm... is Liquid Tension Experiment progressive metal or just progressive rock?

I'd call them prog metal. My musical tastes tend to bounce around, I find myself unable to listen to one genre for long. The only genres I can't get into are any derivatives of death or black. The instrumentation can be almost machinelike in it's perfection and very well crafted, but I'd like to know what a band is singing about without having to dig up a lyrics sheet.

Liquid Tension Experiment definitely leans into metal on occasion. Any band with John Petrucci on guitar has to be at least a little metal. Also, holy crap someone else who's heard of Showbread.

I saw them live in Little Rock, AR. They were touring to support No Sir Nihilism Is Not Practical. I remember Josh referred to the tour as "The Monsters of Metal (and Showbread) Tour" several times—even though they were the headliners.
