^x4 I agree that it wasn't totally out of nowhere, but I would say that it happened too soon/too quickly. It felt rushed, even with the foreshadowing.

That said, the fact that I'm a fan of this show in the first place proves that the creative team has the ability to clobber my expectations, so I'm staying optimistic going into next season.

The creators know that they can't abandon one of the things what fans like. People sometimes have a hard time connecting to change when nothing was wrong with it in the first place. Who knows? We'll just have to wait and see. It could either be like MST3K (I'm watching the High School Big Shot episode right now), where the hosts changed, the voices of robots changed and there were newer touches to the set and story line (whenever there was one). Or it could be like 2 and a Half Men (I hope it doesn't come to that) where there was a change, not many people liked it anymore and the show would slide into stupid territory. But I think MLP would try their best to do what they think is right for the fans. When season 4 comes in a couple of months, we'll see the same characters, and see what WE fell in love with in the previous seasons. Ponies and bronies unite!

I still don't like the princess culture though... even though Equestria's princesses are "different" ...

Just seems like the toy companies feel the need to slap princess on everything to get little girls to want it.

Also: I don't think the Twilight Princess came out of nowhere...some other people do, however.

@marcen: I was initially skeptical because I thought Twi's journey up to that point had been more about learning and scholarship, and it would make more sense for her to become head of Equestria's magical research or something like that. But I'm pretty much over it by now, and I'm interested to see where they go with the whole princess thing.

To be honest, you're sometimes a bit much in your frustrated posts and can go on for a bit too much, but that's a rarity and we all have our flaws. You're a pretty cool dude.

I hated the EQG designs when all we had was the static image, but they look much better in motion. At this point, my main complaints about the character designs are the wardrobe choices. Pinkie and Rainbow I both like, Fluttershy and Rarity could both use some slight alterations, and Twilight and AJ needed some more serious changes.

My only gripe about the EQD designs is that the heads feel too big for the bodies. They needed to be less skinny; I keep expecting their spines to snap under the weight of their heads.

Well it's just I don't wanna come off as someone as obnoxious and someone you should hate....when really I'm not. I just want the best impressions of you guys, I mean adjusting to a new fanbase is hard and....for the most part I just want to be liked and respected, that's all. And I'm self doubting myself if I can....ever trust anybody again....(Sighs) It must be nice, knowing who your friends are right?
