I wonder if a short term but serious punishment for a Pegasus would be clipping their wings. Basically cutting the tips off their primary flight feathers like you do with pet birds. Doesn't damage the wing, and the feathers grow back the next moult. It would keep them unable to fly save for maybe gliding clumsily for 6 months to a year.

Do not underestimate the allure of the milf. Pilf. P-milf? Whatever.

Actually, come to think of it, we have something of a lack of mothers in the main show. All we have so far are Twilight's, who's never had any lines; Pinkie's, who's Amish; and Rarity's, who's a midwestern caricature. So I guess Button's Mom's appeal is that she's the first high-profile "mom" character with actual lines and an appealing personality for the milf-loving crowd.

I actually think it's quite possible she did. I mean, just because we haven't heard about any sons or daughters of hers doesn't necessarily mean she hasn't had any.

^x4 I read a fic a while back that mainly centered around a psyche drama where Nightmare Moon was starting to reassert herself as Luna's split personality and took a liking to Twilight. It ended with the implication of a sequel fic about Pinkie being Celestia's daughter.

Actually Alicorn Twilight did sneak onto the cover of the Micro Series Vol. 1 cover (its easy to miss), but yeah they're waiting to see how the show handles Princess Twilight, so for now all stories in the comic take place prior to "Magical Mystery Cure".

Admittedly, the guy you posted would make a cool kind of the griffons... I'd be tempted to use a similar design if I didn't fanon Griffon Social Structure as being close to First Nations and therefore not having kings to speak of. I suppose one of the tribe leaders could have the design.

Could be some kind of creative difference between license holders? IDW wants to wait, and whoever's doing the books wants to do princesses.

Also, at comic con it was announced we'd be seeing one of Pinkie's sisters (there are conflicting reports how many sisters we're gonna see). I do wonder if suddenly introducing a third, nameless, unknown sister for Pinkie was a hint of things to come...
