A lot of popularity for Button's mum, I wonder why that is. Plus I have heard two variations of a song devoted to her and yet one motherly pony is popular? How?
"Transform and Roll out!" Optimus Prime
I wonder if a short term but serious punishment for a Pegasus would be clipping their wings. Basically cutting the tips off their primary flight feathers like you do with pet birds. Doesn't damage the wing, and the feathers grow back the next moult. It would keep them unable to fly save for maybe gliding clumsily for 6 months to a year.
@ Starscream: She's new. She's cute. That's all it takes. She'll be replaced by somepony else soon enough. Wheely Bopper's popularity seems to have faded already.
@Syd Wait wait wait, so let me get this straight: in order for a pony to be popular is to simply be new and cute?

I actually think it's quite possible she did. I mean, just because we haven't heard about any sons or daughters of hers doesn't necessarily mean she hasn't had any.
Well, the books take place after, though with the smaller scale it's not noticeable. I'm still curious if Marble and Limestone Pie will be mentioned and possibly who her third sister is.

I'm sorry to say, you've been eaten by a Grue.

I knew we should have gotten a janitor to fix up the place. I mean come on, who's blood is in that stain? Not to mention the spiders, I swear one punched me in the face and stole my soda yesterday.
