I'll need reasons for why they're in a race though.
I think the race idea simultaneously does not have a lot of possibilities and is unnecessarily limiting. I wouldn't use it.
I personally can't believe Planes was even considered for a film it's like come on already we've already seen how shit Cars 2 was, we don't need a spinoff for that franchise! But then again if Pixar wasn't doing this, then why is it just Disney who's doing Planes and not Pixar AND Disney? I've got a theory and if my theory is correct then I have a feeling that Pixar is trying to dump the Cars franchise completely.

@Starscream: Cars sells a lot of toys and merchandise. It's really no wonder they are doing this now.
If my young cousin is anything to go off of, I'd say Cars and it's universe is hella lucrative. So Disney is making movies to capitalize whereas Pixar would just rather do their own thing with their movies. Hell, Cars 2 as it was was probably an order from on high. Next year's movie is an original idea and property again.

One of them robbed a bank and decided to race around the world on a bet to cover it up.

Back when I read
Around the World in 80 Days, I thought Fogg was stated to actually be guilty. But looking at the trope page, it seems he was really innocent.

Eeyup. It was just a coincidence. But a parody where he wasn't could be really funny.
I'll concur that Sereg is awesome, but what does his dislike of Life & Times have to do with it? -
Midnight Rambler
It would certainly explain why he had so much money to throw around.

Hmmm...thanks for the idea guys...
Eh, it was a fun enough adventure novel. Though I prefer gothic horror for my classic fiction. Carmila still remains one of my favorites of the genre.

I'm sorry to say, you've been eaten by a Grue.
The only reason I've heard about Carmila is due to
Glass Mask.

I've tried to read some old German literature, but it's always incomprehensible.

Antznever needed a video game
I remember playing some sort of Antz platformer videogame on the Gameboy. It was stupid.

@Mio I guess we can safely say that we cannot avoid the sickening world of marketing, whatever gets money for the box office is usually spend towards making toys. God how I hate the Cars franchise, but as long as kids like this shit then it won't bother us in the long run.
@King Kux Wait Antz had a video game? I mean I know about Antz but seriously a video game? This is the first time I have heard this. I imagine it wasn't very good right?
Anywho time for me to watch a marathon of Young Ones episodes along with a side order of a chocolate buttons desert and ponies.
"Transform and Roll out!" Optimus Prime
hey guys. Just got a new tablet. Posting from it now.
Wait Antz had a video game?
Presuambly it had several as the one I played definitely didn't involve extreme racing.

I know I'll be looking forward to Finding Dory at least.

Wait, that's a real thing? *looks it up* well what do you know. I suppose it's slightly more original then calling it Finding
N Emo 2.
