I worked on my novel today. It's 171 pages and 70, 014 words now. Oorah!

I'm resisting the urge to put a pony reference.

Mine's sitting at 105, 495 words. Just finished the 2nd draft yesterday. I just realized it took me almost exactly a year to write it. Not sure if that should be encouraging or disheartening.

I kind of sort of put a pony reference in my last book but I scrapped that one after a month.

While my parents(Mostly my mum) might occasionally express(And by express I mean say nothing but make it abundantly clear in the way only a mother can) that she disapproves of my use of money as frivolous, they'd never really do anything about it.

Granted that's mostly because I live 2, 000 kilometres away and I earn the money, but they wouldn't anyways.

It's sad that I have to hear her go nuts over wanting my money. She calls me a lazy bastard who does nothing to help out. By help out she means pay for her life style. A roof over my head is literally all I get in return. I buy my own food, pay my own bills etc. I don't give her anything.

Basically she feels like I owe her for, y'know...the cost of being born and raised.

Granted they'd still think I was weird if they knew about the ponies.

In other news, Final Fantasy Tactics is WAY harder than I remember. Mostly because I always got massively overleveled when I played it before. It's also amusing playing the War of the Lions version and catching all the Game of Thrones references from back before GOT got really big.

@Bluespade: If you learn how to exploit the way the clocktick/speed system counts your turns and charge times, it can get very exploitable. Also get a monk for the early/midgame and raise some uberthieves to loot all the rare equips.

If I were younger my parents probably would have made fun of me if they saw me with MLP stuff. Just like they did with me and PPG and Pokemon.

They would later tell me that this was an attempt to toughen me up. . .since I guess being bullied by people who love you is better then being bullied by complete strangers. Thankfully this stopped as I got older, except for occasional little attempts and good natured jokes from my dad, who's just that kind of guy. It's probably one reason I have less of a sense of humor then others.

Mine too. Anyway, they didn't make a big deal about me being a brony, though they were initially skeptical about the show. I still haven't managed to get anyone else interested in it, but at least they don't think it's weird.
