I worked on my novel today. It's 171 pages and 70, 014 words now. Oorah!
I'm resisting the urge to put a pony reference.
"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you." ― Maya Angelou
Nice! Mine's just shy of 19, 000 right now. What kind of story is it?
@edvedd - Hahaha, maybe I will. Couldn't think of any myself, though.
@Wryte - It's about Paul Carson, a college sophomore in a fictional university (
although heavily based on Princeton University
). He harbors a lot of pent up anger, tired of putting up appearance and frustrated at not being able to settle a score with his enemy in the past. This anger drives him to try to kill one of his instructor, but fails. Things snowball after that.
What's yours?
"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you." ― Maya Angelou
Ooh, sounds dramatic. Are you self-publishing?
@Wryte - Ho, you have my interest.
@edvedd - No, I intend to publish it the traditional way, going through publishers and all. Frankly, although I know that things have changed a lot, I still have a less than positive opinion on self-publishing. Yes, I know that I might have no choice on the title (it's called The Cemetery Girl, by the way) and the plot, and get at least a dozen rejection letters, but this is what I signed up for (well, figuratively speaking) and I'm sticking to it.
Also, yes, it is dramatic, but it is also ridiculously silly at times. In one scene Paul
dropkicks and wrestles with a river god. Oh, and this is completely non-speculative.

Why, thank you for the encouraging words.
I intend to finish the first draft by the end of this week.
Can I do it? Find out in the next week's episode of dRoy Goes Crazy!

Bluh. Sounds like I need to get on your kind of time table. I've been working on this thing since April and I'm still only this far.
Got what I wanted from Build-a-Bear :D

And it was what exactly?
"Transform and Roll out!" Optimus Prime
Huh. Well, retag them appropriately and you'll never have to see them again ;V
Glad to hear that worked out.
Whoa, your dad went to court? What happened? I must have missed something...
