We're pretty sure dolphins have just barely sub-human intelligence; they're smart enough to know when they're looking into a mirror, for example. Gorillas are smart enough that some in captivity have proven capable of learning and communicating in sign language.

Until you have a MAJORITY of the fans screaming and damning the creators to hell for what they're doing wrong, it's not a real fandom.

I've read about parrots in the wild in Florida. Most are released or escaped pets.

In case it hasn't been brought up before, but apparently a card game

is in the works.

Having played a lot of the Pokemon TCG in my younger days, I'm curious how a Pony Card Game would work while still fitting the theme of FIM.

Also, if they go the route of other TCG's, hopefully the art is awesome.

edit: Card game...

Well, you could perhaps make it resource-based, like Magic, with the six Elements being used for various costs for cards and abilities.

Or you could go Yugioh style, and just have the cards use straight stats, and use cards and your own life total as costs for things.

Well I'll be. I just brought up a hypothetical pony ccg a few days ago. Clearly, I am psychic.

I wonder if they're going to go with the standard "attack your opponent to win" style of ccgs, which doesn't really fit the MLP setting that well. Then again, I had absolutely no problem with Fighting Is Magic so it'd be sort of hypocritical of me to criticize that.

But if it were up to me I'd maybe make it where instead of a vs. style game the players (1 on 1 or up to maybe 4 players at a time) cooperate to use their decks to win against randomly generated challenges of some sort (maybe each card has a negative effect as well, and they are drawn at random to decide the opposition of each round?), trying to keep each other from being knocked out. Of course, it'd be hard to make such a game challenging...

CCG, not TCG. A Trading Card Game is just for collecting and trading. Collectible Card Games are meant to be competitive.

I've heard TCG used for both. I've never heard the term CCG before. Anyway, the Neopets one was competitive too.

TCG is just another term for CCG. If they're just collectible then they're plain old trading cards, no game about 'em
