How big are Marks anyway? Do they take up half a flank, or smaller?

It seems to vary from mark to mark. Repeated symbols, like Rarity's an Applejack's seem to take up a fairly small amount of space if one is only considering the overall image size(As opposed to say how much room they take up from border to border). Single-images like Twilight's or Shining Armour's tend to be larger, taking up the majority of the flank at times.

If I had a cutie mark, it would be rainbow-colored musical notes.
I like that news about the 4th series, too! I don't think there's been any songs from the show that I dislike, so I will be glad if the 4th season does have a bunch of songs. Since I liked the Pinkie Pie book as well, it will be good to see Pinkie's family appear in the actual show outside of her flashback story in the first season. Plus, I really like Derpy, so I would be glad to see her return, even if she's just in the background like she was in season 1.

I've been messing around with this image for the past hour, and I still can't find a way to add a glow or shadow to the text I'm adding in a way that actually looks good. Then again, maybe that's just because I'm limited to using Paint, Word or Powerpoint for my image editing needs.
Why can't you use GIMP?
Well, Derpibooru without hickups like that wouldn't be Derpibooru. It happened previously multiple times that I ran into 404s nearly everywhere. It was like a bit F5-fest. This is not too different.
If only they had a way to make lots of money so they could afford to host it properly.
