Did I ever tell you all about my OC Pegadus water wings?
@Applelight: The final verdict seems to be, "I don't think so".
Well penguins pretty much just fly underwater, so I don't know why that wouldn't work. I'd think that adjusting to the water pressure and density would be more of a problem.
@JT: The same thaumic displacement principle that naturally breaks the air to enable flight also works underwater. It's more strenuous but more effective.
Does that mean a water pegasus can swim faster than a normal pegasus can fly?

Well, they'd also have more pressure to work through in front of them, so I wouldn't think so.
Like I said, more exhausting due to the higher density and pressure underwater, but the displacement effect is more effective precisely because the water is more substantial.
This is starting to sound like a job for the Mythbusters.

I'm sure Twi and Dashie would LOVE to have some kind of Mythbusters going around checking facts and myths with practical experiments.
Dashie's just in it for the big boom.

If there is an actual Mythbusters homage in Season 4 I will be a very happy camper.
Don't be silly, Jamie is a walrus.

So far I've felt somewhere between "meh" and "it kind of stands out" as a first impression for all the songs this season. Becoming Popular managed to grow on me after some replays, though, so I guess I'd put it at the top, with the rest close enough together that I can't really give a definitive order.
Winter Wrap Up is my favourite season 1, although there might be a bit of biase, seeing as how that was also the episode that really pushed me into the fandom. After that, I'd probably say Gala and Art of the Dress are tied, followed by Singing Telegram, then So Many Wonders, then Giggle at the Ghostie (used to be among my least favourite, but grew on me as well), then the rest.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
