But since it's here, didn't Word Of God say that EP's were better at growing things, that there magic allowed them to grow food better then the Pegasi or Uni's? given that yes it's another Boring, but Practical, but there still the reason the rest of the ponies don't starve.

I wish they had done something with the Earth Ponies when the wings and horns were taken away in the Discord episode.

The only thing I know for sure (or at least know in fanon) is that the Earth ponies are tougher in a literal sense. And have better growing capabilities. That about sums it up.

Actually, telekinesis doesn't appear able to duplicate AJ's lassoing ability. Otherwise, you'd think that twilight would use it in an emergency.

I feel like if the writers had more time, that would have been a great first wedge for Discord to drive between them. I mean, if I was Applejack, I'd be pretty annoyed at how horrified the others were at being turned into earth ponies. But alas, that episode was rushed enough as it is.

What I mean is, lasso-ing isn't an exclusive ability to the Earth ponies. Sure, she's more skilled than Twilight, but nothing's stopping Twilight from reaching her level in lasso-ing through practice. She CAN do it naturally; Applejack isn't capable of doing her magic, on the other hand, meaning she can't do all sorts of things Twilight can, while Twilight can do everything AJ does if she practices at it. Unless it's growing things, which is AJ's special ability in the first place.

I personally don't subscribe to the "All machines are enchanted by unicorns" theory, just because to me the justification for the "schizo tech" should be that the ponies only feel the need to develop enough technology to put the different pony races on an even footing, independent of each other, and that's kinda ruined if it relies on the favors of unicorns to happen.

I think it was just a guess from someone who doesn't even work on the show anymore. If it hasn't been stated in the show itself, they can always go back on it with a different explanation later.

Oi, I have watched Sisterhooves social a LOT! More than aaaaaaannnnnnnnnnyyyyyyyyy other episode, probably at least 2x over the next-highest-watched-episode. I didn't like it all THAT much when it first came out, but now I love it. ^_^ Why? As you all should know by now, I'm an absolute sucker for Sweetie Belle and Rarity interaction. ^_^ I squee everytime Sweetie Belle hugs the crap out of Rarity, thinking it's Applejack. Sure, she didn't know it was Rare, but it was the only time I've ever seen her really hug Rare, so it's as good as I got.

But for now, I think I'm going to watch some Chuggaconroy in bed instead. I'm turning in earlier than usual; gotta start getting back to bed early. And gotta stop letting MLP forums overrun me in general; my homework is starting to fall behind. >.<
