Twilight+ spider = otp. They were made for each other. The fanfic description on EQG might go something like this:

Twilight was just going through another day in her life when a surprise prank by Rainbow Dash leaves a spider in her backyard. Disgusted, she goes to dispose of it. But when she gets her first real look at the creature, she finds something beautiful in it's arachnid eyes.

Overcome with new feelings she'd only heard of in pony tales, can Twilight find the courage to love someone not of her species? And what will her friends think?
