Still looking at adventure stories for inspiration, Apple? Might I suggest Time Bandits or The Adventure of Baron Munchausen? The former is one of my childhood favorites. I think I've seen the film over ten times thus far.

I've probably lost my spot in the poster rankings, especially as there was a month or two where I wasn't around. Anyway, I'm going to play a bit of Ultima VII, but I'll be back. I'm actually surprised there are relatively few Ultima x Fi M crossover fanfictions.

I have no idea why, but I really want to write a fic where a whole bunch of mechas descend upon Ponyville for their final war to see which is the best mech to be adopted by the Democratic Order of Planets. While the Mane Six try to make their own mech to save Equestria from the other mech opponents...

That almost sounds like the premise for a Transformers crossover.
