Kicks are generally stronger than punches and they're less likely to result in self-injury, but punches are easier to controll.

@storyyeller: I'd probably explain it in the author's notes at the beginning. I understand that it would be something that would probably need to be explained.

On the topic of how a human version of Applejack would do apple-bucking, rather than hitting the tree itself, what if she had super strong jumping abilities and could leap up and pick apples that most people would need a ladder to reach? Or she could be able to climb really well, too.

In other news, I've been making up some tumblr posts so CDRW doesn't have to do all of them. I have about nine in there so far, so we should be okay for a week or so. Wonder when they'll start getting posted.
