On the subject of pony fanfics, I actually have an idea for one that focuses on the toyline and background ponies. It's kind of a retelling of the show from the points of view of other ponies in Ponyville, like what they were doing in each episode, and each chapter focuses on a different pony (because I like having lots of characters and there are a lot to choose from). All of the ones I picked have at least one toy of them, mostly picked out of my own brushables collection with others from the blind bags as well. However, updates on it will probably be far between because I have MANY other fanfics that I'm doing as well (mostly for Sailor Moon) and I don't usually like to favor one story over the others unless I really get excited about an idea for one of them.

But when I do start it and update it, I could mention it here if people would like to see it.

@Applelight: Thanks! And that's a cute chubby Pinkie drawing!

The other warning I would have about my potential story is that I don't want to necessarily follow the popular fanon ideas of what the background ponies are like, and I will be sure to put a warning about that in the story because I know that it otherwise would surprise and probably upset some people (and I'm aware that there probably will be people who won't like that I don't necessarily share the common fanon ideas). For example, the personality I created for Vinyl Scratch gives her a much gentler and rather absent-minded personality rather than the loud party animal image she has in most fanfics and fancomics. I just would rather do my own interpretations of the background and toyline characters rather than just doing what everyone else does.

@Ace: That's really well done! And one could call that literal fan art, too!
