Well, look, it was part of my job. I was working on a game where they released an alternate skin with a bunch of Russian tattoos. I wanted to make sure none of them were offensive or anything.

That and I had grown to despise the game at that point and was looking for any excuse not to play it.

Words cannot describe how jealous I am of some of the Brony music composers.

If I had a working digital synth, some midis, and a VOPM interface, I could make 8 and 16 bit remixes that would be something to hear.

I've done a lot of research into this and I really could do a lot, but there's no robust software out there that doesn't use a graphical interface.

@Morning Star: Depends on your audience I guess. I think most people here generally avoid dark fics, so we can't really help you much.

Because I want to practice writing Dark Fic and An idea I had involve the Crusaders commiting suicide by deliberately staring into the eyes of a cockatrice. Can't have that happen with them as Cheerful Children without people's Willing Suspension of Disbelief being compromised.

Well the idea came to me after watching "Ponyville Confidential" and I had several plot bunnies about Deconstructing the end of the episode. Unfortunately most of these idea are Not A Deconstruction. But I still want to try the ideas out, so I wrote two different fics: The Path of Absolution - Forgiveness is a Deconstruction Fic, but Lighter and Softer so far. The Path of Absolution - Punishment is a Dark Fic focusing on the initial ideas and some of the Fridge Horror from FIM's fridge pages.

Among other things: being exiled from the town thanks to their gossip column and a group of ponies with an It's Personal grudge wanting to exile them.

just plain dark is usually more of a Earn Your Happy Ending thing

Personally dark fics for the sake of being dark are just Shaggy Dog Stories.
