Yeah, that sort of response is always overkill. I'm all for making reparations, but it shouldn't come at the cost of people who didn't contribute to the problems. With stuff like racial discrimination, the proper response isn't to reverse who's being discriminated against, but to not use it as a criteria at all.

@JT: Exactly! Which is xactly what our Constitution says! (Not that the government bothers to obey the Constitution. Though, the Constitutional court did call them out for disbanding the most competent branch of the police force for being too competent and said that they have to reinstate them.)

If it makes you feel any better, Sereg... coming back from something like that is hard to get right. Canada took the approach of 'lending a helping hand' and then basically just letting the problem fix itself, and, well... it didn't. There's a lot of reasons why it didn't, but the fact remains. I'm on the good side of this on, granted, but...
the problem I refer to in Canada's case is First Nations relations, of course.

Honestly, there's really no way to deal with those sorts of problems without somebody feeling like they're getting the short end of the stick.

I had a bizarre thought. Pinkie can swallow big things in one gulp. So, if a pony had been hiding inside the Marzipan Mascarpone Madness, she could have inadvertently eaten them.
I think in such a scenario, she wouldn't even notice it for a few seconds before burping them up or something. Weird.
