You're worried that the show is going to run for too long, and change too much from the show that you love now?

The fact that this is all happening in not just future episodes, but a future season, is sort of telling that you expect it to go on for a while. but the fact that the DVD was licensed by a company you associate with poor quality also sort of implies that you're worried about the show's quality. And finally, the fact that 'your' discord is no longer smiling and joking, but is so different pretty much means that, in this theoretical situation, it isn't as much fun.

So in conclusion; you're worried. You think that the show might over-run itself, and start to turn away from the show that you love. You're worried that it's going to turn into something you won't enjoy. If Discord turned 'super-serious, yo', it's possible the main fear is that the showrunners are going to start pandering more to the older demographic, and you think that means that they'll turn it darker.

Right before nodding off I had watched an episode of Durarara. Before that I read the entire first arc of Ben Drowned (thanks to this thread, in fact). Lately I've been doing a lot of gaming, mostly Ys Books I and II on the Turbo Duo and Fatal Fury games on various consoles.

I did pick up a Batman Beyond DVD set about a month back, but I watched it in a marathon session and haven't touched it since.

Hahahahha yeah, that struck me as weird too. It was a pony dream but it was so focused on him, to the point where the mane six even did nothing but talk about him. They didn't seem to notice he had become more serious.

Which, if I go with kegisak's interpretation, probably means "nobody but me will notice the change."

For a leak... yeah. If the company is really serious about stuff like this, they can force their employees to sign non-disclosure agreements about upcoming events. Breaking it can get you fired, or even sued.

That's how it works in games, at least. Not sure if cartoons is the same.

General douchiness I suppose. Stealing apples, harrassing people, that sort of thing.

Well you can't accuse the writers of plagiarism sooo oh well.

I thought Ginger was being crazy about the whole Applejack thing (and lord knows it is annoying to slug through 400 pages of that), but there's an actual measurable process of finding a pony's popularity through google.
