That does sound a LOT like the voice singing the smile song.
I'm surprised that more kids' shows aren't out on video in general. I mean dude, market. It's THERE.

Oddly it's the fans that are in more a 'kerfuffle' and mostly of the, "don't do shit that'll get the show runners in trouble" type. God I love this fandom.
As to the DVD vs Blu-Ray release thing, they BETTER release it in DVD, whether or not they d a Blu-Ray set, not everyone has a Blu-Ray player, but anyone with a Blu_ray can use it for regular DVD's....right? Not everyone has money for not only the player, but a TV advanced enough to notice the difference
Build a fool proof system, and the world will create a better fool.
But they need it HIGHEST QUALITY!1 Don't you know it's 2011 and nobody should ever make a DVD now because HIGHEST QUALITY MAN.
I don't get all the "plot was too predictable" comments. I mean obviously, they were going to get back together, but I didn't anticipate the exact manner it would happen.
Personally, the only episode I found too predictable was Sonic Rainboom. Once Rarity and RD were the last ones left, I could see the entire rest of the episode already.
It's pronounced "Te-ah-low-ve"
"It is an Icarus metaphor!"
How is she derailed, again?
That does sound a LOT like the voice singing the smile song.
Doesn't necessarily
prove anything though; I've heard someone do a Fluttershy imitation that could give a weaker person diabetes.
"You're my favourite Princess ever!"
Lilypichu did an utterly adorable Fluttershy fandub voice.
I see no betryal of her element, being generous doesn't mean you have to give away/up everything for anypony, you can set limits. At no point was she selfish or greedy, the issue wasn't that she wasn't willing to be generous with Sweetie Belle, it was that she just didn't understand what Sweetie really wanted until it was to late.

And with Applejack 'lying' in Applebuck Season, I really don't think of that as lying, she legitimately believed she could do it on her own, the only pony, if any, she was lying to was herself, and those types of lies are always the hardest to notice yourself doing.

I wouldn't call it derailed. The staff tries to present these characters as having fully-developed personalities, they can't always show why they represent their power all the time.
I also think it's mitigated by the fact that Rarity realizes on her own that she's been a bit of a bitch, and immediately drops what she's doing to make up for it.
