For whatever reason, I really want a dark dream sequence in season 4 where Twilight becomes a tyrant. I just want to see what people will say.

Twi's Nightmare episode?

It would certainly make a good out-of-context scene for anyone who'd never seen the show before.

It would probably look something like an episode of G1 with a higher budget. Now I'm a bit curious, was their any specific scenes or moments critics or the generally unaware labeled as a negative against the show?

For G1, it was the bad voice acting that was a strike against it ._.

I've grown a bit fond of it as of late so I might not be the most unbiased, but the voice work isn't too bad and has a certain Narm Charm to it. Some of the most recognizable voices in the last twenty years of American cartoons had their starts on the original specials and shows. Just don't get anyone to sing.

@Death: Well, this is what I have planned forthe summary:

A Debt to the Stars: "The stars will aid in her escape." That was the agreement. But Nightmare Moon did not live up to her end of the bargain. Now, the ponies she raised have escaped from the stars and want vengeance. So they break out and raise another of Celestia's relatives. One who was hated by his relatives far beyond what Nightmare Moon ever was. Morning Star.

Batmite should be in the next Batman movie. Hell, the whole thing should be one big tribute to the Silver Age. Heh, we're talking about Batman and Connie isn't even here.

I think the others were causal friends before Twilight's arrival, but Twi was the catalyst that brought them closer together. Maybe Rarity and AJ even outright disliked each other before Look Before You Sleep.

Well obviously. It's just people writing their opinions after all. Something like music is especially open to YMMV.

Personally I just use the awesome music list as an list of suggestions to look into, but you'll have to decide for yourself if you like it.

Heck, I'm not a fan of One Winged Angel, probably the most popular song in the entire FF franchise.

Well there was an infamous blog post that bashed the entire thing back when it first came out, by someone who hadn't even watched the show. I think it was called My Little Homophobic Racist Smart Shaming Pony or something like that. There was also the infamous The Death of Creator Driven Animation post.

My biggest complaint about this series, in my opinion, is that during the more serious episodes I can't take them serious at all. Most of them come off to me as melodramatic, or worse.

Most examples in the Tear Jerker page? They make me roll my eyes, muttering "Seriously?"

Let me rant just a little bit more, then I am done.

The awesome moment page for this series. I decided to actually play Mass Effect series when I glimpsed through the awesome moments page and thought, "Okay, this series sounds just awesome."

MLP:FIM? If I read that before watching it I probably would have stayed away from the show for the rest of my life.

I think people misinterpret Tear Jerker as "sad moment" rather than "moment that is powerful enough to actually make you cry, which obviously most fiction can't claim to do." Applying tear jerker to every single remotely sad moment in a series just devalues those actual powerful moments.
