@Story: The Homestuck thread is probably faster at this point, but only because it doesn't stay on topic. It's basically like what we used to do back when we'd have like five pages an hour, but only two of them would be pony related.

Briefly getting off topic, would any of you guys think Homestuck would be comprehensible without the drawings? For some reason, it's a rare comic I can read the text of.

@Dark: Unfortunately, I doubt it. There are a lot of places where the comic is simply a series of panels with no text at all. Also, all the most plot-important stuff tends to happen in flash animations, which you probably wouldn't be able to read the text in.
Although on the subject of webcomics you could read, Irregular Webcomic! actually has a "vision impaired transcript" feature that shows a script of each strip so people with VI can use text-to-speech readers to read it. It's also very dialogue based, so you wouldn't lose as much by not being able to see the panels.

Anyway, I started looked through the beginning of Homestuck again out of curiosity. It's surprising how much of it is described in the text. But it gets a lot worse later on when it stops parodying a text adventure and starts using flash a lot more.

Well it looks like it will start getting hard to follow when they start playing Sburb, which is barely halfway into Act 1. So only the very beginning is readable, and that's not at all representative of the main comic.

Based on the statement than any technology we see is done with magic, it's possible they've developed some kind of readily-harnessable power source. That technology would come in handy.
