CONFOUND THESE PONIES

Why does Youtube show NOTHING for this episode when I have enough time to load it and watch it, an hour ago...

...and then tell me, when it appears, too late for me to watch it in full, that it has been up for two hours?!

I kind of like the fact that Twilight won't necessarily be in every episode. That probably sounds mean.

For people who worry about Applejack not getting any kind of 'awesome skill', I think she specializes in Boring, but Practical. She's got great talent with a lasso, can herd about anything, amazing when it comes to harvesting and prepping food, etc. She doesn't have any 'flashy' skills, no, but I'd dare say that having a long list of practical skills she can call upon is far more fitting for her than any flash Awesome, but Impractical skill she might otherwise possess.

Rarity's parents were my favourite part of the episode.

The episode in general was pretty damn good. I'm glad that now we're getting episodes once a week for at least a month.

I found her parents to be amusingly different from her in most ways. Almost hillponies. [lol]Different? Oh yes. Bad? Heck no!

I hope Rarity doesn't hate her parents. She seems to have turned her back on every aspect of them

[up][up]I seriously doubt that; they seemed cool with each other. Just because she is so different doesn't mean she doesn't love them. The only thing that would drive a wedge between them is if they dislike her choices in life and wish she hadn't turned out the way she did, and they seemed too laid back to care one way or another about what she does and probably just supported whatever she wanted to do, which in this case was becoming lady-like, in a word.

Where did she get that british-ish accent of hers, then?

Oh, I loved this episode from beginning to end. It was simply fabulous, the sisterly love, the anger, the fun, and it felt so sincere too. I myself have a very troublesome little sister... though it's more of a "going partying at random hours sometimes not coming back until the next evening" kind of trouble. She's explored the city's underworld so much one'd think she's LARP-ing Vampire The Maskerade... As for the people she's surrounded herself with, it's like The Brave and the Bold, but with famished stundets. It can get very entertaining, I can tell you that.

This is why I love this show so much. It shows that innocence and wholesomeness don't rhyme with stupidity and niaiserie, and it manages to reflect real, dirty, confusing problems in rather clean, transparent ways...

[up][up]It's not her real accent, she just uses it to sound more proper. Hey, it fits her character, no?
