I think the problem is that she's in danger of falling into the trap Pinkie is in, being either the solution to everything, or grabbing the idiot ball.

What I'm beginning to like about this season is that they're getting better about using the CM Cs in a way that doesn't involve looking for cutie marks. They feel better integrated into the show's fabric, not just separate entities that pop up occasionally.

My reaction to "applejack" being rarity: WHAT A TWEEST

My reaction to twilight: ...At least we have spike!

That was probably the thing I liked most about this episode.

@Moe: That would have bothered me more if not for the fact that Applejack seems to have more in-story flaws. She's stubborn, and not all that bright when it comes to technical stuff, it's just that those flaws don't really apply in this situation. Besides, we've seen Applejack and Applebloom have their issues in past episodes, so it's not like they're constantly being portrayed as the perfect family.

Yeah, I don't actually think it's a problem yet. I'm still just thrilled that she had so much to do this episode.

Well this was something different! Only Rarity, Applejack, and Spike appeared from the core cast! And you know that this means? This is THE FIRST EPISODE WHERE TWILIGHT NEVER APPEARS! :D Plus, Rarity is the first pony besides her to write a letter to the Princess! Two fan guesses confirmed!

Rarity just developed that Mediterranian accent by herself?

In danger of? Maybe, if the writers keep it up. I don't think she's actually fallen into that yet.

General consensus seems to be "The plot is unoriginal, but it was handled really well."

Today my sister and I had a fight. She was just bugging me so much and it was so annoying I just wanted to send her somewhere incredibly far away where she couldn't bother me for a very long time. Seriously, it was the worst. But you probably don't know what that's like.

Technically, wasn't the report in "Lesson Zero" written by Applejack? (It was from all of them, but Applejack was the one who dictated it.)

I almost forgot to note the parents. They exist and appear to have nothing to do with Rarity's prissiness. That's her own doing.

Maybe that theory about Rarity hanging out with fluttershy to see how the other half lives has some weight after all?

Still going to re-write my head-fannon so that the unicorn with Dinky isn't her sister but a very close cousin form her father's side. And Derpy was in the audience to support her daughter and niece.

Also, Dinky is best friends with Carrot Top's sister.

Well... if I were rating this on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the best), I'd give it a six—just a notch above average.

I hate to word it like this because it sounds like I'm accentuating the negative, but I'd call this the fourth worst episode so far (the other three are, in order, "The Cutie Mark Chronicles" and "The Return of Harmony" parts 1 and 2). It was good, but not especially standout or praise worthy for any particular reason other than having a lot of uber-cute Sweetie Belle moments and hair-dripping-wet Rarity... and, arguably, giving Applejack some much needed attention, though as I've been saying the way she comes off could be seen as either incredibly awesome or incredibly bland, depending on what sticks out more to you (I repeat, I'll be interested to see if Applejack gains or loses popularity after this episode).

While they didn't write letters, Rarity delivered the Aesop in "Sonic Rainboom" and Fluttershy in "Bird in a Hoof". People always forget those instances for some reason... maybe because they're not writing letters and telling it to Celestia's face...

I thought it was really awesome. I liked seeing more appplejack (finally) and focus on Sweetiebelle. Plus, the sisterly stuff is adorable. My rating is like...9 i guess
