Didn't notice it was Rarity covered in mud until (I think) I managed to catch a glimpse of the eye.
Eeyup.

If you look you can see a few shot where it looks like you can see a mud covered horn, that's when I called it.

Also, I noticed that Sweetie Belle asked if it was grape juice, but Applejack never confirmed it...
I think this is the first episode since Look Before You Sleep to really focus on Rarity and Applejack, and it's nice to see their friendship didn't just snap back after what they learned that episode. Yay for character development.
In the end, this is what the cartoon is about. We have see these plot lines before (like the arguing siblings) but they make it watchable. For example, I'm so glad Rarity and Sweetie Belle were talking to each other before the final commercial break. Granted, nothing came of it but at least those two (plus the Apple sibling) were communicating.
@Random Chaos: Sorry, but I just have trouble imaging a Pony sperm bank. It's just, well, yeah. PONY SPERM BANK.
Spooky.

yes yes YES
Sure the plot sounds cliched, but they manage to execute the idea while making it believable.
