@JT: And I've been saying that the weather being run by pegasi is weirder, yet we don't assume that there's anything strange about the weather once it's been set.

EDIT:

@Sereg: Anywhere between 17 km and, say... a couple hundred feet? That's a bit of a range.

Not like we haven't been forced to work with ridiculous ranges bfore. Better than nothing.

Can we just get along with each other's differing headcanon's already?

There can be only one.

Ah boy, I'm now tempted to make a sock (pun intended) of Minty, the original sock-obsessed pony. Socks are to Minty as muffins are to Derpy. Which is interesting considering their personalities are similar.

They also share a voice actress!

Anyways, on the comic, a preview for issue 6 showing the whole moon pulling thing can be found here. Issue 6 was also released early at Wondercon, so the rest can be found...elsewhere.

You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!

Seriously, in theory you could lasso our moon.

Not with ordinary rope.

Yeah, until I can read the whole thing I'm just going to assume things aren't exactly being drawn to scale here.

I'm not trying to cause conflict. I just don't get why my interpretatons are considered so illogical.

EDIT:

Not with ordinary rope.

I did say that the weird thing was the rope rather than the moon.

For some reason I want to imagine that Luna had built a cheese factory on the moon and developed the recipe for the ultimate cheesecake.

Your conclusions are perfectly logical. So are the differing conclusions of other people. You simply can't say that anything is proven when other people are able to present logical counterpoints to your opinion, and real life logic breaks completely in the given scenario.

Well, it's true that when magic's involved, you have a few more options.

EDIT:[up]Well, I thought that if Physics were in doubt, Maths would at least be safe. I guess less than I thought.

Here's something I caught from that picture I linked, the mountain below the moon is shaded while the ground where the ponies are is lit up. Does that mean the moon is behind the mountain but in front of the cloud? If that's the case, that cloud must be gigantic!
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.

@Sereg: Yeah, I'm not trying to disprove your opinion at all, just pointing out your version doesn't have any more of a "scientific" basis than any other because science doesn't necessarily apply here.

It would still be "Science", just not our understanding of it. Science is a way of understnding the world, not a body of facts. There have even been things that at the time were scientific that aren't any more.

Aw, man, this comic sounds great. But I'm still desperately trying to avoid spoilers. I'm so bad with spoilers.sad
Don't forget. Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember her, you are not alone.
