@Apple: I've found that personally it's best to let the idea stew for a little while before you make any decision about whether or not you want to use it. You should think it over before you decide whether or not to use it.

Hmm... maybe instead of having leaves flow out of him... maybe have grass sprout up where he walks when he's emotionally powered up? It sorta goes with the druidy theme.

@ Mio: Great dissertation on Fluttershy! I think she's really grown on me these past couple of seasons, with the whole "stepping out of your boundaries" theme. (A journey I can relate to.) It'd be pretty funny to see her make her Nightmare Night debut one day.

@Apple: Since I'm the type of person who comes up with ideas at night, I usually try to sleep on it before I decide if I want to nix it. Maybe take a break and come back to it?

@Princess Gwenevere: I'd like to see Nightmare Night again in the series too. Luna would be purposely acting the part of Nightmare Moon this time, although she could show her true form to anyone who got scared and thought she had turned evil again. She's probably not seen as frightening by the general populace anymore, at least when they know she's "Princess Luna, " judging by Scootaloo's obvious relief at seeing her pop up in what was previously a nightmare.

If Fluttershy were to wear a Nightmare Night costume, I wonder what she would wear, though. If she went as an animal, given her knowledge of them, she might do really well at pretending to be that animal, kind of like Pinkie did with her chicken costume.

@Rainbow: I could see her as a butterfly, actually. She sheepishly enters a swamped Rarity's boutique asking for a costume last minute- and leaves a now joyous Rarity with something overly elaborate and difficult to walk in.

I gotta ask myself, why the hell do I participate in the politics threads. I get no pleasure from it at all.

I should just stick to here and pony talk. So, coconut, who still needs a better name...I've currently got him being great with animals and plants. The plants because it's an innate EP ability, and animals because it's a talent of his. Though at the moment, he's still very shallow and undefined as a character but...it'll come in time.

I usually avoid OTC nowadays too. Soemtimes I'll browse the threads, but arguing is a waste of time.

I'm a conservative with a small c (a Democrat by US standards) surrounded by socialists in there, and it never goes well.

I should just quit the place and let them get on with it. I can't debate anyway...it's why I failed English at Queen's.

@Apple: On the subject of designing and developing characters, may I suggest picking up Scott McCloud's "Making Comics". Even if you aren't drawing a comic, it has fantastic notes on designing characters, facial expressions, body language, ect. One of my favorite books ever.

There's still a communist party, parties on the same side squabble among themselves, and the only party I kinda agree with is full of the kind of people who, while OK on their own, can't mesh together at all. 's kind of what happens when there is a very real possibility that, if the dictator this place had was alive and kicking still, he might just win an election without cheating.
