So today, I produced this when I could◊. That's n attempt to both get Coconut's 'leaf trail' right, and to practice ponies running poses, which I have not done.

I wasn't going for 100% neatness, but I think it came out OK. Only thing is, I don't think the leaves are right yet. Not even close. Not sure about the stars either.

Lookin good, Apple! The only thing I can say about it is, he doesn't look like he's moving at a full run. He looks more like a kinda jog, I guess. That's mostly the hind legs, though. The front are more run-y.

A good way of getting a running pose on a horse is to have all their legs curled up beneath them. When a horse is moving at full speed they move with a kind of leap - push themselves off of all four legs and tuck them up under themselves alternately. Like this◊ (Which incidentally is from the world's first 'movie', which was filmed to win a bet over whether or not a horse did, in fact, lift all four hooves off the ground while running.

I'm not sure approve of coconut having leaves fly out when he runs. It just seems kind of unnecessary and excessive. his design is already notable enough, he doesn't need any other unique characteristics.

Nice humanisations.

As to the leaf thing, it's supposed to make him mysterious and mystical. Ponies having such abilities aren't unheard of. RD has rainbows, and Pinkie has confetti.

I figured coconut crumbs.

I'm with Blissey on the leaf trail. It just strikes me as unnecessarily "special snowflake"-esque.

Well I'm going to stand my ground on this. It's not like it's constant either. Only when he's highly emotive.

Well, you've got no argument from me, really. As I've always said, it's your project. You make what you want, and not everything has to be agreeable to everyone.

Well the thing is that Pinkie doesn't always leave behind confetti. In fact, it's the exception not the rule. Plus I think you've got too many leaves in the first place. It looks like he's going to go bald soon.

I'll try to keep it as low key as possible. And it literally does nothing...it's merely an effect. That only comes in when he's highly emotive. To help reinforce his druid like powers. And like I said, ponies having such effects isn't unheard off.
