Personally all the fanworks so far make me more impatient for Children of the Night lol.
you're stronger than you think you are.
Nah, Twi's potion was something she had been trying to brew since her schooldays, her personal pet project.
No becuase her making it is IC for her, and no reason not to. it's imply her explanation for why she choose to do so was missing or off. The only one who behaved like an idiot at all was RD, who even then, doing something like that was fully IC for her.
To me, Dash doesn't need a reason to drink the potion because it's awesome, ... because that's perfectly in her character. What bothers me is that Twilight STATES that she has no idea what her new potion does!! Why make something if you don't know why you're doing it??
@Crimson: Blame Colin for typing that.
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.
okay. who's Colin?

I thought Twilight wasn't sure what the potion would do because somewhere along the way, it reacted in a way she wasn't expecting. (Trollface smoke fumes, anyone?)
I'm only a man in a silly red sheet
Digging for kryptonite on this one-way street
@Crimson: The human I hang out with. He helped me figure out the internet.

where as say Snowdrop (which is about 8 minutes short of an official episode length) only had a cute trailer, and update video, and *bam* its out.
I'd never even heard of it until after it was released.
I dunno lol, maybe use a custom css script to turn it all into fixedsys or courier new or Lucida Console?
But then it will only display that way for me, defeating the purpose.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
True. In the canon show, Dash would consider that Twi's her friend and that being obstructive inside her own home would probably not be considerate.
She did say that she knew what it would do
in theory. But yeah, that was my immediate reaction when she said she didn't know what it would do. ("Wait, you spent years making a potion that you
don't even know what it does?")

Oh, no! They've all transformed into giant, Swedish, lederhosen-clad yodelers! Run!
Ye gods. Just from the preview image, I can already tell it's going to look really creepy. The way SFM ponies usually do.
Well it's firmly within uncanny valley as 3d cartoon ponies usually are, but it's amazing that they took the trouble to animate the entire thing. That must have taken forever.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
@Irish: Given that that was Rainbow Dash's reaction was basically that, I found it hard to take any other way.
okay. who's Colin?
Colinispower, Orion's alt. Originally, Orion was Colin's sockpuppet, but nowadays he pretty much exclusively uses the Orion account.
I love this fan episode, but purely for the whole endeavor. Audiences expect to see a visual language in film, and that language is extremely hard to understand and get right. Japaneseteeth's reviews proves that even the canon show isnt perfect with their pacing, but at least it's better than THIS!
Given that hte most common complaint about DR is the editing, do you think anyone's goign to try to reedit it to fix things up?
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
Well, from what we're expecting, it's going to take MORE than reediting! It's going to need a lot of reanimating and recomposing too!
