I know the writers say that she's the same Twilight as before, but her being a princess now has got to change things somewhat. She must have some (or more) authority now.

It's pretty much a given that one of the first things she'll need to learn is how to balance her responsibilities as a princess with her desire to maintain her friendships.

@Mio: That would actually be a good way to emphasize the conflict. Like some of the ponies, like Rarity and Fluttershy, would naturally defer to Twilight because she's a princess, whereas AJ and Rainbow Dash would be more likely to resist (Pinkie would do her own thing regardless).

@Applelight: I kinda hope that they have an episode where everypony constantly defers to Twilight and she gets sick of it and begins making increasingly absurd demands to get them to stop.

Do you think Rarity would start namedropping Twilight? She refused to mention her in Sweeet and Elite, but maybe things are different now.

To this day that still doesn't make sense to me. She's Celestia's personal student. Although rule of drama I guess.

It might be more reasonable than you think. I think Rarity wants to climb on her own merits, not those of her friends... although she did lie about Rainbow Dash to climb a rung or two, so maybe that theory falls a bit short of itself.

Also, while a tad naughty I find Shy's outfit(Or lack thereof) to be quite pretty.

Okay, I wanna try another humanized drawing because I want to perfect my humansreasons why

I feel that humans are more important to my planned career path, and ponies are easier than humans anyway, so I can work my way down once I perfect them

and I want to ask what I should do differently from my last attempt. This time, I want to draw Pinkie from a front perspective, with a simple outfit. I'm planning her as slightly chubby, but not really fat. I appreciate any suggestions or tips.

For outfits and what not?

I'm mostly looking for anatomy tips, but if you want to suggest an outfit, I don't mind.

However, I don't really want it to be saucy.

In my experience the best practice is usually in as wide a series of poses as you can get. Ideally dynamic, to study how the body moves, acts, and reacts, but you don't want to go overboard with it. Draw characters in realistic, real-life scenarios, stuff they would be doing throughout the day. In fact, drawing someone through every step of their day could actually be a very good exercise.

The largest recorded jump in my artistic ability came when I attempted a graphic novel of sorts. It had a pretty wide variety of poses due to being composed pretty evenly of action scenes and life scenes, so I highly recommend that approach.

Also, believe it or not, saucy and smutty pics are excellent for learning anatomy. I've heard of people studying porn and drawing it just to get a feel for how the actors move.

Ah, Double Rainboom. I think I should take that brain-fart as a sign that I need to go outside and do something. I guess that also explains why the thread is so dead.

Now I'm imagining a scene where Twilight's mom is trying to get her to eat all of her food, and Twilight tries to pull rank to get out of it, only for it to fail.
